Rome, 21 February 2020 - The Public Prosecutor's Office of Avellino has accepted Autostrade per l'Italia's request for the release of the safety barriers installed on eight viaducts along the A16 motorway and one on the A14.
The temporary release will enable the competent Section Department of the company to proceed with the construction works necessary for the replacement of the safety barriers. The interventions will be carried out according to the procedures indicated by the technical offices of the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
The barriers subject to seizure are located along the following routes:
A16 highway - viaducts: "Carafone", "Acqualonga", "Vallonalto I", "Vallonalto II", "Vallone del Varco" (between the Baiano and Benevento exits), "D'Antico", "Lamia", "Omero Fabriani" (between Vallata and Lacedonia);
A14 motorway - "Fonte dei Preti" viaduct (between the Lanciano and Val di Sangro exits).
