The Safety Barrier Modernisation Plan before Ministerial Decree 223/92 ('Blue Catalogue Plan')
Following a specific request to all motorway concessionaires by MIT dated 24/06/2019, Autostrade per l'Italia has developed a Plan for the upgrading of safety barriers prior to Ministerial Decree 223/92 - "Regulation containing technical instructions for the design, approval and use of road safety barriers".
The Plan, which covers about 2,000 km of the motorway network under ASPI's responsibility, provides for the upgrading of about 1,300 km of central reservations, 1,400 km of lateral edges and 380 km of bridge edges, through the replacement of existing barriers with state-of-the-art devices.
