Rome, 14 January 2020 - As of today, drivers who, on 20, 21, 22 and 23 December 2019, travelled on the A14 motorway, experiencing significant delays in journey times, will be able to claim a refund of the toll. In particular, it is possible to submit the request for transits between 12:00 pm on Friday 20 December and 12:00 am on Monday 23 December 2019. This is an extension of the measure already adopted by ASPI for transits during the Christmas counter-exodus.
The refund will apply to the toll paid for the stretch between Loreto and Val di Sandro in the direction of Pescara, and will be equal to 100% of the amount if the transit took place at the times when the average speed recorded by the sensors on the road was less than 50 km/h, or 50% if it was less than 60 km/h.
These thresholds have been set in view of the average speeds recorded on similar days in previous years in the absence of work restrictions, which were approximately 70 km/h. The request for reimbursement can be sent to the e-mail address email@example.com.
Users who have paid in cash must enclose with the refund request a receipt certifying payment and indicate the license plate number of the vehicle. For tolls paid by means of Telepass or cards, it is sufficient to communicate the license plate number. The refund will be made by bank transfer.
