Rome, 7 January 2020 - Today, on the A14 motorway, in the stretches covered by the restrictions imposed by the Judicial Authority, traffic volumes are still considerable due to the extension of the period in which people return home from the Christmas holidays. Given the situation, Autostrade per l'Italia has decided to extend the period for which toll refunds can be claimed until midnight today, on the basis of the criteria published on the website www.autostrade.it.
The refund request should be sent to the email address email@example.com. Users who pay in cash at the time of payment are invited to request a receipt, to be attached to the refund request, in which they must indicate the vehicle's registration number. For those who use Telepass or cards, it will be enough to communicate the license plate number. The refund will be made by bank transfer.
From a traffic point of view, a 16-km tailback between the Pescara Sud and Pescara Nord exits has formed on the A14 Bologna – Taranto motorway, in the direction of Ancona.
The transit ban on the Cerrano viaduct for vehicles with a total mass of more than 3.5 tonnes (including buses) makes it compulsory for this category of vehicles to exit at Pescara Nord, with repercussions on the carriageway. Hauliers in transit along the route are therefore invited to move well in advance to the first lane, avoiding overtaking in order to facilitate the flow of light vehicles heading further north.
