Progress of the works

Work on 23.5 km of highway between Casalecchio and La Quercia, and on approximately 4.5 km of highway between Badia Nuova and Aglio, is complete as at 22 October 2013. Work is underway on the remaining stretches and is scheduled to end from 2013 onwards, with opening to traffic scheduled for 2014.

(**) Inclusive of: Firenzuola slip road, Environmental Enhancement, Val di Setta trunk road and Porrettana, Rioveggio junction, Reno-Setta slip road and Marzabotto sewers, Prevam phase 1 and phase 2 non noise abatement and upgrading of the existing A1 between Aglio and the Barberino Junction and upgrading of approximately 3 km of the VS10 with an interchange between the old/new layout (Old interchange and new layout - former lot 8).
(1) Except for the electromechanical systems for the stretch, which will be allocated at a later date.
(2) The new Barberino junction was opened to traffic on 22.05.2007.
(3) Work on the sewers at Marzabotto, the Reno-Setta slip road and Prevam phase 1 is complete.
Project design for the upgrading of the existing A1 between Aglio and the Barberino junction is currently underway.
Work is currently underway on the Rioveggio junction and is due to be completed in mid-2013.
Completion of the remaining work is dependant of area applications.
