The “Strada facendo” project in partnership with the voluntary association Pozzo di Giacobbe

Case studies

"Strada Facendo" aims to introduce an integrated system of services for the personal and social growth of young Italians and foreign people in the province of Pistoia, with particular attention to those on the fringes of society.

The project promotes concrete ways of preventing deprivation amongst young people and minors and offers young people the opportunity to meet their own potential, including:

  • Italian language courses for young migrants
  • Computer literacy courses
  • Academic and careers guidance
  • "Punti di ascolto" providing counselling and advocacy services for young people, focused on "protecting the rights of the vulnerable segments of the population".

Measures include themed, in-depth paths, aimed at approximately 600 people overall, to prevent and reduce at-risk behaviour, to contribute to a safer city and the enhancement thereof and to raise awareness among those involved of the issues of environmental protection and respect for the environment.
