WHAT IS AN UNPAID TOLL TICKET?

In some cases the toll charge is not paid or is only partially paid, giving rise to an Unpaid Toll Ticket (Transit ticket/Receipt).
WHAT CAN I PAY ON-LINE?

In this section you can easily pay Unpaid Toll Tickets issued by the following companies of Autostrade per l'Italia Group:

CONDITIONS AND TERMS OF PAYMENT

You can pay on-line 24 hours after the transit date. Payment within 15 days does not involve any additional cost.
After this time, an additional fee shall be due in compliance with article 176 para. 11 bis of the New Highway Code.
If the toll charge continues to be unpaid, credit recovery is handled automatically by Essediesse (a subsidiary of Autostrade per l'Italia), with all costs debited to the motorist (art. 373 Regulations of the Highway Code).

Information about personal data

In compliance with art. 13 of Law 196/2003:
1.	The personal data you provide with on-line payment and "Unpaid Toll Ticket" as well as to request invoices for the payment made is collected and may be used and processed in hard copy or electronic form by Autostrade per l'Italia, via its employees or via personnel employed by CartaSì, for the purposes of on-line payment management and the issuing of invoices.
2.	This data is notified by Autostrade per l'Italia to CartaSì and to Motorway concessionaires for the purposes of managing the toll payments owing to them for the use of the stretch of Motorway under their management.
The administrative activities for the above on-line service and, in particular, the processing of the receipt for payment and issuing/despatch of any invoice you may have requested, are carried out on behalf of Autostrade per l'Italia by EsseDiEsse Società di Servizi S.p.A., appointed the Data Processing Manager (DPM) for this purpose by Autostrade per l'Italia.
3.	Except where otherwise specified above, your personal data as held in data bases on behalf of Autostrade per l'Italia, shall not be notified unlawfully to third parties. 
In order to guarantee the proper performance of all activities related to services, Autostrade per l'Italia may process data via other companies in the Autostrade per l'Italia Group or third parties (appointed for credit recovery and the maintenance of IT systems used for invoicing, by Autostrade per l'Italia) appointed from time to time as DPM for this purpose.
4.	Toll stations run by Autostrade per l'Italia are fitted with video surveillance equipment which, in the event of failure by the motorist to pay the toll, lack of a valid toll ticket or the use of an improper ticket or use when the toll equipment is not fully operational, automatically records the license number of the vehicle for subsequent debit of the toll charge and for the purposes of bringing any administrative or legal action against, or prosecuting, the motorist in compliance with art. 176 of Law 285/1992.
Video images may be viewed exclusively by personnel employed by the D.P.M. and are retained until payment of the toll charge has been made and, in the case of ongoing prosecution, for legal purposes.
Data may be processed and credits recovered via third parties appointed for this purpose.
5.	In connection with the above-mentioned processing of data you have the right, under art.7 of Law 196/2003, specifically to request deletion of any data processed unlawfully and to request the updating and correction of erroneous personal data, as specified by the Law. 
Personal data provided by you shall be retained until payment of the toll charge has been received, in compliance with current laws.
6.	The Owner of the Rights to process data is Autostrade per l'Italia S.p.A., as specified above, and DPMs are as follows:
- for the management of administrative activities as specified above, the Admin and Financial Director of EsseDiEsse Società di Servizi S.p.A., with registered office in Rome, Via Bergamini, 50;
- for the management of non-payments and consequent video images, as specified above at point 5, the Director of the Toll Dept. of Autostrade per l'italia S.p.A. and EsseDiEsse S.p.A. Società di Servizi SpA, with registered office in Rome, Via Bergamini, 50.
