Autostrade per l'Italia (a subsidiary of the Autostrade Group) and Jolly Pubblicità (Clear Channel Communications Group) have together created (with respective shareholdings of 75% and 25%) the newco AD Moving S.p.A., with registered office in Rome and fully paid-up share capital of 1 million Euro.
The new company was created with the aim of optimizing and creating added value for the marketing of promotional and advertising activities and event management in the Service Areas present on the managed network and, potentially, within other dedicated facilities such as ports, airports and stations.
The initial service perimeter in the Motorway network will be the motorways managed by Autostrade per l'Italia (207 service areas with an average of about 400 million contacts/year), and subsequently the network managed by other subsidiaries and associated companies in the Group.
Currently Jolly Pubblicità, which has been working with Autostrade since 2001 on this specific activity, manages over 1,300 areas in Service Stations dedicated to billboard advertising, a highly advanced technological network which is also innovative in terms of form and size. It works mainly in the advertising sector through the management and sale of advertising billboards and permanent advertising fixtures. It also works on production, advertising graphics and design, the manufacture and marketing of signs, plant and outdoor communications.
For the Autostrade Group, the creation of AD Moving S.p.A. is part of a broader project for the upgrading of Service Areas, aimed at developing the concept of a stop-over on the Motorway. For the “structural and commercial restyling” of the areas on the managed network, about € 1 bn. Euro will be invested in coming years by the Autostrade Group and partly by Service Area managers.
The Clear Channel Communications Inc. Group, world leader in communications, active in radio, TV, entertainment and outdoor advertising, is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and works in 65 countries, with over 30,000 employees and a turnover of about 9,000 million Euro.
